I worked as a Medical Assistant from the ages of 17-20, as a float in Banner Health. I’ve worked with hundreds of patients through the specialties of Neurology, Oncology, Spine Surgery, and Orthopedics.

What has ceased to impact me, has been the stories I learned from patients, and visitors who have come to be treated. Truly from all walks of life, they have inspired, opened my understanding, and expanded my vision of what is really important of our American values. Traditions old and new, health and respect are chronic necessities. Hope truly transcends any negative diagnosis, and lives on long after we do.

Through this experience, I lived something very special. I traveled the farthest I have in my life for a pageant title competition that I was chosen for, Teen Universe USA Latina, to represent the Latino community within the United States.

The preparation and this trip, transformed the way I view life for the better; I gained new friendships, and enriched knowledge of my culture.

Above all, I leave my heart overflowing with appreciation for these intelligent and beautiful girls, from different countries. To this day, I am incredibly thankful to everyone who helped me make this dream come true. It takes a village to achieve these goals. None of this would have been possible if even one of them had not been by my side, or had not encouraged, taught, and uplifted me. I will always be very grateful for their dedication and support.

Working with Transformation Station not only gave me wings to do what I love in the industry of beauty, but helped me use all of my favorite skills together: Connecting to the soul of another human as I did as a medical assistant, showed other women of all ages their beauty and why to feel thankful for it, and proud of it as I did through pageantry. And to wrap it all up, I recorded hours upon hours of content & journeys of getting ready on some of the most important days these women will experience. Videography will always remain one of my first true loves!

I learned to juggle time time on crunched timelines, work with whatever styling tools I had handy, and how to hype up a woman to feel ready for special occasions. I taught them to use what they have, and how to love themselves in photos. It isn’t easy for most people initially but I am so glad I had a hand in it!

I am continuing to learn behind this artform everyday. Most of all, that life, and its seconds are irreplaceable. and you deserve to show the world what you can do!

Sometimes whats more powerful to dystroy than a gun, is a camera. Sometimes what is more powerful to send a message than a phone, is a camera. Sometimes what is a more effective way to learn what condition a place really is really in, is through a camera.

These tools are powerful.

Some people are gifted. And others are gifted to capture that.
